Description

Damaged pedal cable? Flickering, jumping or intermittent pedal signals?

The AXC SIM Replacement Wiring Loom is a complete replacement cable and internal wiring loom for Logitech G25, G27, G29, G920 and G923 pedals.

It replaces the original wiring from the accelerator, brake and clutch potentiometers all the way to the 9-pin connector that plugs into the Logitech wheelbase.

We developed the AXC SIM loom as an engineered solution to the weak and easily damaged wiring used in the original Logitech pedals. Rather than simply reproducing the original cable, we’ve improved the wire, terminals and cable splices.

Easy to Install

The loom is a direct replacement for the original Logitech pedal wiring. No soldering is required.

Watch our step-by-step installation video to see how straightforward it is to fit.

Console & PC Compatible

Your Logitech wheel and pedals retain their original PlayStation, Xbox and PC compatibility. Plug and play.

Why Replace the Original Logitech Pedal Wiring?

Logitech pedal cables can have quite a hard life.

The original Logitech loom uses very fine wiring which can be easily damaged. The cable can be pulled, trapped under a pedal set or sim rig, repeatedly flexed, or damaged when equipment is moved.

Damage isn’t always obvious. A broken or intermittent connection can cause symptoms including:

  • Flickering or jittery pedal inputs
  • Pedal signals that jump around
  • Intermittent accelerator, brake or clutch operation
  • One or more pedals cutting out
  • Interaction between different pedal inputs
  • Complete loss of a pedal signal

These symptoms can also be caused by a worn or faulty potentiometer, so it’s worth identifying the cause before replacing parts.

An Engineered Solution – Not Just a Replacement Cable

When developing our replacement loom, we looked at the weaknesses of the original Logitech wiring and designed our own version accordingly.

Thicker copper wire

The original Logitech loom uses extremely fine wiring which can be easily damaged.

The AXC SIM loom uses thicker copper conductors to create a stronger, more robust replacement while remaining suitable for the original cable routing within the pedal set.

Correctly sized crimp terminals

A reliable crimp connection depends upon the terminal being correctly matched to the wire.

Our crimp terminals are specifically sized for the wire we use, creating a secure and reliable electrical connection.

Soldered cable splices

Some connections in the original loom use crimped terminals to create cable splices.

We’ve taken a different approach. The splices in the AXC SIM loom are soldered and individually insulated with heat-shrink tubing.

A Complete Replacement Loom

This isn’t an extension cable, sleeve or repair section.

The AXC SIM loom replaces the complete original pedal wiring assembly – including the internal wiring for the accelerator, brake and clutch and the main cable running from the pedal set to the wheelbase.

At the wheel end, the cable terminates in a high-quality 9-pin male D-Sub connector with gold-plated pins.

Compatible Logitech Pedals

The replacement wiring loom is designed for Logitech G25/G27/G29/G920/G923 pedals.

It follows the standard cable routing and fits the original retaining clips within compatible Logitech pedal sets.

Compatible with Standard & Upgraded Pedals

The replacement loom connects directly to the original Logitech pedal potentiometers.

It is also fully compatible with:

  • AXC SIM Potentiometer Upgrade Kits
  • AXC SIM TrueBrake
  • Standard Logitech accelerator, brake and clutch potentiometers

So whether you’re repairing a standard pedal set or upgrading your pedals, the same loom can be used.

Are Your Logitech Pedals Flickering or Jumping?

Don’t automatically assume that the potentiometers are at fault.

Damaged wiring can produce very similar symptoms to a worn potentiometer, including flickering, jitter, jumping signals and intermittent pedal operation.

Likewise, replacing the wiring won’t cure a fault caused by a worn or damaged potentiometer.

If you’re trying to repair faulty G25, G27, G29, G920 or G923 pedals, we recommend diagnosing whether the fault is in the pedal/potentiometer or the wiring loom before ordering replacement parts.
